Paying for the rest

  • County and utility plans: some sewer projects let owners pay over time through an assessment, for example North Hutchinson Island in St. Lucie County, or through utility financing.
  • Contractor payment: in Brevard the county can pay an approved grant to your contractor directly, so you only finance the difference.
  • Your own loan: a home equity loan or line of credit is a common route; compare the rate and fees with any program offer first.

Since July 2024, Florida's PACE law also covers septic upgrades and sewer connections, repaid on the property tax bill where your county or city allows it. Compare every option on septic financing and loans.

The calculator's monthly figure uses the rate and term you type in. It is an example, not a loan offer.
